Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 92 words
A semiconductor ceramic device, comprising: a ceramic element having a resistance value at a specified temperature and a negative temperature coefficient of resistance, said ceramic element being formed of a rare earth and transition element oxide; and a cover for said ceramic element so that said ceramic element is substantially isolated from the atmosphere, said cover for said ceramic element isolating the ceramic element from the atmosphere and preventing a substantial change in the resistance value even when the ceramic element is heated to high operating temperatures by electrical current passing therethrough.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 92 words
A semiconductor ceramic device, comprising: a ceramic element having a resistance value at a specified temperature and a negative temperature coefficient of resistance, said ceramic element being formed of a rare earth and transition element oxide; and a cover for said ceramic element so that said ceramic element is substantially isolated from the atmosphere, said cover for said ceramic element isolating the ceramic element from the atmosphere and preventing a substantial change in the resistance value even when the ceramic element is heated to high operating temperatures by electrical current passing therethrough.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 1, wherein said rare earth and transition element oxide is made of LaCo oxide.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 1, wherein said rare earth and transition element oxide is made of NdCoO 3 .
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 1, wherein said cover comprises a case.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 17 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 4, wherein said case is made of heat resistant resin.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 23 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 5, wherein said case is made of one of PPS resin, PET resin and PBT resin.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 21 words
A semiconductor ceramic device according to claim 1, wherein said cover comprises a resin molding portion formed around said ceramic element.
