Abstract

Abstract Polymer-coated carbon-clad inorganic oxide particles are disclosed which are useful in sorbent applications, particularly as packing materials for High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). A method for the preparation of a chromatographic support material is also disclosed which comprises coating carbon-clad inorganic oxide particles with a monomer or oligomer and cross-linking the monomer or oligomer.
