Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 121 words
A coated cemented carbide comprising a substrate of a cemented carbide, the surface of which is coated with a multilayer coating having a total thickness of 1 to 10 μm, formed by a PVD method, consisting of: an innermost layer of TiN having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.8 in contact with said substrate, at least one layer selected from the group consisting of a TiC layer and a TiCN layer having a total thickness of 1 to 5 μm in contact with said innermost layer, wherein when both said TiC and TiCN layers are present, said TiC layer is in contact with said innermost layer, and optionally an outermost layer of TiN having a thickness of 0.3 to 5 μm.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 121 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 27 words
The coated cemented carbide of claim 1, wherein the multilayer coating consists of a first layer of TiN, second layer of TiC and third layer of TiCN.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 27 words
The coated cemented carbide of claim 1, wherein the multilayer coating consists of a first layer of TiN, second layer of TiC and third layer of TiN.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 27 words
The coated cemented carbide of claim 1, wherein the multilayer coating consists of a first layer of TiN, second layer of TiCN and third layer of TiN.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 31 words
The coated cemented carbide of claim 1, wherein the multilayer coating consists of a first layer of TiN, second layer of TiC, third layer of TiCN and fourth layer of TiN.
