Claim 1
Independent Claim 53 words
A therapeutic moist pack comprising: a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide, the therapeutic moist pack constructed and arranged such that it is capable of being successively hydrated, dehydrated and rehydrated for repeated use.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 53 words
A therapeutic moist pack comprising: a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide, the therapeutic moist pack constructed and arranged such that it is capable of being successively hydrated, dehydrated and rehydrated for repeated use.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 15 words
The pack of claim 1 wherein the exterior layer further includes a polymeric interior coating.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 12 words
The pack of claim 2 wherein the polymeric interior coating is polyurethane.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 12 words
The pack of claim 1 wherein the exterior layer is a fabric.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 10 words
The pack of claim 4 wherein the fabric is nylon.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
The pack of claim 1 further including a cotton wicking material sewn inside the exterior layer.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
The pack of claim 1 further including a banding positioned along the periphery of the pack.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 12 words
The pack of claim 7 wherein the banding is a cotton/poly band.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 16 words
The pack of claim 1 wherein the interior compartment is partitioned into a plurality of cavities.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 77 words
A method for increasing blood flow in a patient comprising the steps of: providing a therapeutic moist pack having a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide; hydrating the therapeutic moist pack; applying the therapeutic moist pack over an injured portion of the patient's body; and thereafter dehydrating and rehydrating the therapeutic moist pack as necessary for subsequent treatments.
Claim 12
Independent Claim 77 words
A method for increasing blood flow in a patient comprising the steps of: providing a therapeutic moist pack having a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide; hydrating the therapeutic moist pack; applying the therapeutic moist pack over an injured portion of the patient's body; and thereafter dehydrating and rehydrating the therapeutic moist pack as necessary for subsequent treatments.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 33 words
The method of claim 10 wherein the step of providing a therapeutic moist pack is further defined by providing a therapeutic moist pack including a sealed exterior layer having a polymeric interior coating.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 32 words
The method of claim 10 wherein the step of providing a therapeutic moist pack is further defined by providing a therapeutic moist pack including a cotton wicking material sewn inside the pack.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 33 words
The method of claim 10 wherein the step of providing a therapeutic moist pack is further defined by providing a therapeutic moist pack including a banding positioned along the periphery of the pack.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 30 words
The method of claim 10 wherein the step of applying the therapeutic moist pack is further defined by applying the therapeutic moist pack over an injured wrist of the patient.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 87 words
A therapeutic moist pack comprising: a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide that can be successively hydrated, dehydrated and rehydrated to allow for repeated use of the therapeutic moist pack; and means for preventing escape of the water absorbent filler through the sealed exterior layer while allowing passage of water through the sealed exterior layer, the means for preventing positioned on an interior of the sealed exterior layer.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 87 words
A therapeutic moist pack comprising: a sealed exterior layer including a flexible water permeable material forming an interior compartment, the interior compartment containing a water absorbent filler consisting essentially of polyacrylamide that can be successively hydrated, dehydrated and rehydrated to allow for repeated use of the therapeutic moist pack; and means for preventing escape of the water absorbent filler through the sealed exterior layer while allowing passage of water through the sealed exterior layer, the means for preventing positioned on an interior of the sealed exterior layer.
Claim 19
Dependent Claim 14 words
The therapeutic moist pack of claim 15 wherein said means for preventing is polyurethane.
Claim 20
Dependent Claim 13 words
The therapeutic moist pack of claim 15 wherein the exterior layer is nylon.
Claim 21
Dependent Claim 18 words
The therapeutic moist pack of claim 15 further including a cotton wicking material sewn inside the exterior layer.
