A copolyester consisting essentially of Units I, II and III, said units having the structural formulas: ##STR2## where X is chloro, bromo, methyl, ethyl or phenyl, and Y is chloro or methyl with the proviso that Y substituents are not in both 2' and 6' positions; in the proportions of from about 30 to 50 mol % of Unit I, from about 30 to 50 mol % of Unit II and from about 10 to 20 mol % of Unit III.
