Abstract
Abstract A uniform, stable low foam aqueous dispersion of glass fibers can be accomplished with the present invention. This accomplishment is obtained by the use of a unique combination of an alkyl sulfate quaternary salt of an alkyl amino fatty amine or amide and a water dispersible, liquid mineral oil, inorganic silica defoaming agent. The blend of the dispersing agent and the defoaming agent can be present on the glass fibers to be dispersed in the liquid solution or can be added to the aqueous solution prior to the addition of the glass fibers.
