Abstract

Abstract A system and method for displaying the current street address on the display of a mobile wireless communications device. The longitude and latitude of the device is determined by a system such as GPS and triangulation. This information is appended to the URL of a Web server, and a browser contained within the wireless device navigates to the server. The server performs reverse geocode processing on the longitude and latitude to compute the corresponding street address. The street address is then sent to the wireless device for display.
