Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 115 words
A method for treating or preventing restenosis following balloon angioplasty, restenosis following graft or shunt implantation, or restenosis following atherectomy comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment or prevention an effective amount of a polyamine of the formula ##STR4## wherein: R 1 and R 6 independently are hydrogen or C 1 -C 12 alkyl; R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , and R 5 independently are hydrogen or C 1 -C 12 alkyl; m and n are integers from 3 to 6; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, provided at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 5 , and R 6 is C 1 -C 12 alkyl.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the condition being prevented or treated is restenosis following balloon angioplasty.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 30 words
A method of claim 1 employing a compound wherein R 1 and R 6 both are C 1 -C 6 alkyl, and R 2 and R 5 both are hydrogen.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A method of claim 3 employing a compound wherein R 1 and R 6 both are ethyl.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 12 words
A method of claim 4 employing a compound wherein m is 3.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 12 words
A method of claim 5 employing a compound wherein n is 4.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 12 words
A method of claim 5 employing a compound wherein n is 3.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 16 words
A method of claim 4 employing a compound wherein m is 4 and n is 4.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 21 words
A method of claim 1 wherein the condition being prevented or treated is vascular proliferative disorder following graft or shunt implantation.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method of claim 1 wherein the condition being prevented or treated is vascular proliferative disorder following atherectomy.
