Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 48 words
A method for producing a shaped ceramic body which comprises: (a) admixing a ceramic powder with a binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate to produce a ceramic-binder mixture; (b) shaping the ceramic-binder mixture into a green body; and (c) sintering the green body to form the shaped ceramic body.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 48 words
A method for producing a shaped ceramic body which comprises: (a) admixing a ceramic powder with a binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate to produce a ceramic-binder mixture; (b) shaping the ceramic-binder mixture into a green body; and (c) sintering the green body to form the shaped ceramic body.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 47 words
The method of claim 1, wherein said binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate is a solution of an organic solvent and the polyalkylene carbonate, and said method further comprises removing said organic solvent from the ceramic-binder mixture to produce a free-flowing powder prior to shaping said ceramic-binder mixture.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 50 words
The method of claim 1, wherein said binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate is an emulsion of the polyalkylene carbonate with either water or an organic, and said method further comprises removing said water or organic from the ceramic-binder mixture to produce a free-flowing powder prior to shaping said ceramic-binder mixture.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 15 words
The method of claim 1, wherein the green body is sintered in an oxidizing atmosphere.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 15 words
The method of claim 1, wherein the green body is sintered in a non-oxidizing atmosphere.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 5, wherein the non-oxidizing atmosphere is selected from the group consisting of argon, helium, nitrogen, hydrogen and mixtures thereof.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 57 words
A method for producing a shaped green body of ceramic powder which comprises: (a) admixing a ceramic powder with a binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate to produce a ceramic-binder mixture, the ceramic-binder mixture containing between 0.5 wt % and 15 wt % binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate; and (b) shaping the ceramic-binder mixture into a green body.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 57 words
A method for producing a shaped green body of ceramic powder which comprises: (a) admixing a ceramic powder with a binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate to produce a ceramic-binder mixture, the ceramic-binder mixture containing between 0.5 wt % and 15 wt % binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate; and (b) shaping the ceramic-binder mixture into a green body.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 47 words
The method of claim 7, wherein the binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate is a solution of an organic solvent and the polyalkylene carbonate, and the method further comprises removing the organic solvent from the ceramic-binder mixture to produce a free-flowing powder prior to shaping the ceramic-binder mixture.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 50 words
The method of claim 7, wherein the binder comprising a polyalkylene carbonate is an emulsion of the polyalkylene carbonate with either water or an organic, and the method further comprises removing the water or organic from the ceramic-binder mixture to produce a free-flowing powder prior to shaping the ceramic-binder mixture.
