Abstract

Abstract A molded product prepared by injection molding a wholly aromatic thermotropic liquid crystal polyester consisting of 4-oxybenzoil moiety, terephthaloyl moiety and 4,4'-dioxydiphenyl ether moiety is characterized in high impact strength, small mechanical anisotropy and excellent resistance to heat. The thermotropic liquid crystal polyester gives, by blending therewith a known thermotropic liquid crystal polyester, a composition which can yield a formed product having a superior strength and a relatively small elastic modulus.
