Abstract

Abstract A nonwoven superabsorbent web comprising fibers composed of a superabsorbent, thermoplastic polymeric composition, such as a nonwoven superabsorbent web comprising a plurality of substantially randomly deposited monofilaments of a thermoplastic superabsorbent. Such a web is prepared by meltblowing a thermoplastic superabsorbent.
