Abstract
Abstract A composition used to reinforce polyurethane casts is disclosed. The composition has controlled foaming activity and a viscosity between 100,000 and 1,000,000. The foaming activity and viscosity allow the formulation to be readily applied to the cast area that is to be reinforced.

A method of reinforcing a polyurethane cast comprising applying to the cast while the cast is wet with water a liquid composition comprising an aromatic polyisocyanate and a polyol in an equivalent ratio of from 2.1 to 15.1, a catalyst in an amount of from 0.1 to 10% based on the weight of the composition, an antifoam agent in an amount of from 0.7 to 7.5% based on the weight of the formulation and a thickening agent in an amount of from 2 to 5% by weight of the formulation, said composition having a viscosity of between 100,000 and 1,000,000.
