Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 16
Claim 1
Independent Claim 69 words
A method for reducing the strength of adhesion of solid particulate materials to metal surfaces as occurs under water freezing conditions by coating the metal surfaces to be in contact with the particulate material with a mixture comprising a hydrocarbon liquid, which has a solidification or pour point not greater than 0° F., and a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having from about 10 to about 18 carbon atoms.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 69 words
A method for reducing the strength of adhesion of solid particulate materials to metal surfaces as occurs under water freezing conditions by coating the metal surfaces to be in contact with the particulate material with a mixture comprising a hydrocarbon liquid, which has a solidification or pour point not greater than 0° F., and a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having from about 10 to about 18 carbon atoms.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 14 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the solid particulate material comprises coal.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 24 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the hydrocarbon liquid is selected from No. 2 fuel oil, diesel oil, kerosene or turbo fuel.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the fatty acid is oleic acid.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the fatty acid is linoleic acid.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 23 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the mixture contains from about 25 to about 95 weight percent of the hydrocarbon liquid.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
A method as defined in claim 6, wherein the mixture contains from about 75 to about 90 weight percent of the hydrocarbon liquid.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 23 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the mixture contains from about 5 to about 75 weight percent of the fatty acid.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 23 words
A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the mixture contains from about 10 to about 25 weight percent of the fatty acid.
Claim 11
Independent Claim 73 words
A method for reducing the strength of adhesion of solid particulate materials to metal surfaces as occurs under water freezing conditions by coating the metal surfaces in contact with the particulate material with a mixture comprising from about 75 to about 90 weight percent of a hydrocarbon liquid selected from No. 2 fuel oil, diesel oil, kerosene, or turbo fuel, and from about 10 to about 25 weight percent of a fatty acid.
Claim 12
Independent Claim 73 words
A method for reducing the strength of adhesion of solid particulate materials to metal surfaces as occurs under water freezing conditions by coating the metal surfaces in contact with the particulate material with a mixture comprising from about 75 to about 90 weight percent of a hydrocarbon liquid selected from No. 2 fuel oil, diesel oil, kerosene, or turbo fuel, and from about 10 to about 25 weight percent of a fatty acid.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 13 words
A method as defined in claim 10, wherein the hydrocarbon liquid is kerosene.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 14 words
A method as defined in claim 10, wherein the fatty acid is oleic acid.
