Abstract
Abstract Compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are alkyl or cycloalkyl; R 4 and R 5 are alkyl or phenyl; and R is hydrogen, alkyl or a trialkylhydroxybenzyl, Are good antioxidants and thermal stabilizers. These compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding alkylated 4-hydroxybenzyl-tert-amine with a malonate ester in the presence of an alkali metal alkoxide.
