Abstract Novel hepta- and octapeptides of the formula: WHEREIN R is hydrogen, succinyl, L-aspartyl, L-sarcosyl, Lseryl, succinamyl, or D- or L-asparaginyl and R1 is an L-alanine, L- or D-leucine, glycine or L-isoleucine residue upon intravenous infusion to animals inhibit blood pressure response to angiotensin amide.
