Abstract

Abstract A sport helmet is disclosed having an inverted, generally Y-shaped, flexible back strap member spanning between a rear portion of the helmet and the helmet's chin straps to fully embrace the occipital region of the wearer's head for better helmet stability and retention. Because the back strap is a single, unitary member, the resulting retention system is simple, comfortable, easy to adjust, and costs less to manufacture.
