Abstract
Abstract A process for treating a coated substrate to reduce the thickness of the coating involves directing a laser beam at a predetermined surface portion of the substrate to remove part of the coating. The process can be used to treat a coated photoreceptor to precisely reduce the thickness of the coating in a predetermined region.
