Abstract

Abstract Apparatus and method for detecting flow outside Casing in a well are provided. The flow may be detected by logging tools or by fixed equipment inside casing. An alarm system is provided for lack of mechanical integrity of a wellbore. Stationary temperature sensors are placed in contact with the inside wall of the casing. Electronic circuits are used to provide output signals sensitive to differences in temperature of the sensors.
