Abstract

Abstract An ink for ink jet printing comprising a pigment, a component selected from the group consisting of saccharides, derivatives thereof and polyols having 5 or more hydroxyl groups, and a resin emulsion. This pigment-type ink is excellent in preservability, does not cause obstruction in a nozzle, and can evenly produce an image.
