Abstract
Abstract A damping device is arranged between a surface of a ski and a binding holding a ski boot on the ski surface. The binding has a toe clamping member and a heel clamping member supported on a surface of a respective support portion. The damping device has a respective damping plate having an extension projecting from each support portion, the damping plate extensions extending towards each other in the same plane and having facing end faces defining therebetween at least a small gap. The damping plate extensions overlap in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the ski and are freely displaceable relative to each other in this direction.
