Abstract

Abstract A butadiene polymer composition containing a phenolic compound represented by the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R1 is an alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R2 and R3 are each independently a group represented by -C(CH3)2-R' in which R' is an alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or phenyl, and R4 is hydrogen or methyl, and a sulfur-containing compound represented by the formula: (R5-S-CH2CH2COOCH2)4C wherein R5 is an alkyl having 4 to 20 carbon atoms. The composition is stable against the thermal deterioation and discoloration in the absence of oxygen as well as against the thermal and oxidative deterioration in the presence of oxygen.
