Abstract

Abstract A stabilizer for polymeric substances made up of a sulfur-containing compound of the formula: <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 represents an alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and a phenolic compound of the general formula: <IMAGE> (II) wherein R2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, in the ratio (I):(II) of 1:0.1-2 by weight. The combination of the above stabilizer with a polymeric substance, such as synthetic rubber is also contemplated herein.
