Abstract
Abstract A hot melt gasket of two superimposed layers. The first layer contains a large amount of tackifier resin to ensure good adhesion to the closure surface. The second layer contains little or no tackifier resin to ensure a good seal between the closure and container. The hot melt gasket is particularly well suited for use on plastic closures, especially polyolefin closures and more especially polypropylene closures.
