Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 53 words
A slurry for the centrifugal classification of colloidal particles, comprising: (a) particulate, non-clay, ceramic colloidal particles: and (b) a dispersant present in substantial excess of that amount necessary for dispersion of the particles and in an amount effective to result in a plastic cake of classified particles when the slurry is centrifugally classified.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 53 words
A slurry for the centrifugal classification of colloidal particles, comprising: (a) particulate, non-clay, ceramic colloidal particles: and (b) a dispersant present in substantial excess of that amount necessary for dispersion of the particles and in an amount effective to result in a plastic cake of classified particles when the slurry is centrifugally classified.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
A slurry according to claim 1, wherein the particles are selected from the group consisting of: alumina, yttria, silicon nitride, forsterite, mullite, cordierite, and mixtures thereof.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 11 words
A slurry according to claim 2 wherein the particles are alumina.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 13 words
A slurry according to claim 1 where the dispersant is an acrylate copolymer.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
A slurry according to claim 4 wherein the dispersant is an ammonium polyacrylate polyelectrolyte.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 18 words
A slurry according to claim 1 wherein the dispersant is present in an amount of 20-30 weight percent.
