Abstract
Abstract Metallized film is used as a radiant barrier to prevent the transfer of heat by reflecting long wave radiation. Radiant energy apparatus includes several embodiments, including flat strips, wrinkled strips, crinkled chips, bubbles, bubbled sheets, and mesh netting with metallized layers, for different applications. Bubbled sheets and mesh netting embodiments may be used for wall installation and the like, and the other embodiments may be used for blown or loose fill insulation.
