Compositions for cosmetics and dermatology comprising perfluoropolyethers

Claim 2

A composition comprising a perfluoropolyether liquid dispersed in an oil in water emulsion or in a water in oil emulsion, or in a solid phase suited to form a gel, said solid phase being suspended in a liquid organic phase, said composition containing from 0.05 to 30 parts of perfluoropolyether per 100 parts of the total sum of the other components.

Claim 3

A composition of claim 1, in which the oil in water emulsion is non-ionic or anionic and in which the water in oil emulsion is non-ionic.

Claim 4

An ointment or paste according to claim 1, in which the perfluoropolyether is dispersed in hydrogenated castor-oil suspended in a liquid triglyceride.

Claim 5

A composition according to claim 1 or 2 or 3, in which the perfluoropolyether liquid includes repeating units C 2 F 4 O and/or C 3 F 6 O or units C 2 F 4 O and CF 2 O and optio or units C 3 F 6 O and units CFXO (X=radical F or CF 3 ) statistically distributed along the chain, or includes perfluorooxetane units.

Claim 6

A composition according to claim 4, in which the perfluoropolyether is selected from the class consisting of compounds having formulas: CF.sub.3 O--(C.sub.3 F.sub.6 O).sub.m (CFXO).sub.n --CF.sub.2 Y (a) where Y is F or CF 3 ; X is the same as Y; m and n are integers; the m/n ratio ranges from 5 to 40, and units C 3 F 6 O and CFXO are statistically distributed along the chain; C.sub.3 F.sub.7 O(C.sub.3 F.sub.6 O).sub.m --RF (b) where Rf=C 2 F 5 , C 3 F 7 , CFHCF 3 , and m is an integer; CF.sub.3 O(C.sub.3 F.sub.6 O).sub.m (C.sub.2 F.sub.4 O).sub.n (CFXO).sub.q --CF.sub.3 (c) where X=F or CF 3 ; m, n and q are integers whose sum is between 10 and 300; n/q=0.5-5; m/q+m=0.01-0.4; and the units C 3 F 6 O, and C 2 F 4 O and CFXO are statistically distributed along the chain; CF.sub.3 O(C.sub.2 F.sub.4 O).sub.p (CF.sub.2 O).sub.q --CF.sub.3 (d) where p and q are integers alike or different from each other and the p/q ratio ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 and the units are statistically distributed along the chain; and (e) perfluoropolyethers having an oxetane structure.

Claim 7

A composition according to claim 4, in which one or both end groups of the perfluoropolyether chain consist of polar groups or aromatic rings.

Claim 8

A composition according to claim 4, in which the mean number molecular weight of the perfluoropolyethers is higher than 500 and ranges preferably from 1,000 to 10,000.

Claim 9

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition comprising a perfluoropolyether liquid dispersed in an oil water emulsion or in a water in oil emulsion or in a solid phase suited to form a gel, said solid phase being suspended in a liquid organic phase, said composition containing from 0.05 to 30 parts of perfluoropolyether per 100 parts of the total sum of the other components.

Claim 10

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition comprising a perfluoropolyether liquid dispersed in an oil water emulsion or in a water in oil emulsion or in a solid phase suited to form a gel, said solid phase being suspended in a liquid organic phase, said composition containing from 0.05 to 30 parts of perfluoropolyether per 100 parts of the total sum of the other components.

Claim 11

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition according to claim 8, in which the oil in water emulsion is non-ionic or anionic and in which the water in oil emulsion is non-ionic.

Claim 12

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition according to claim 8, in which the perfluoropolyether liquid includes repeating units C 2 F 4 O and/or C 3 F 6 O or units C 2 F 4 O and CF 2 O and optionally C 3 F 6 O, or units C 3 F 6 O and units CFXO (X=F or CF 3 ) statistically distributed along the chain, or includes perfluorooxetane units.

Claim 13

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition according to claim 8, 9 or 10 characterized in that the composition is a cream, an ointment or a paste.

Claim 14

A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the perfluoroether repeating units of the perfluoropolyether are --CF 2 CF 2 CF 2 O-- units.

Claim 15

A composition as defined in claim 1 wherein the perfluoroether repeating units of the perfluoropolyether are --CF 2 CF 2 O-- units.

Claim 16

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition as defined in claim 8 wherein the perfluoroether repeating units of the perfluoropolyether are --CF 2 CF 2 CF 2 O-- units.

Claim 17

A cosmetic or dermatologic composition as defined in claim 8 wherein the perfluoroether repeating units of the perfluoropolyether are --CF 2 CF 2 O-- units.
