Abstract A photographic element comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a yellow or cyan dye-forming coupler and a dye stabilizer comprising a phosphate ester compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein each Ar independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted arcyl group, and X is a linking group.
