Abstract

Abstract A control device for use in maintaining a constant driving speed in various rotational objects such as a photosensitive drum, etc. for an electrophotographic reproduction apparatus, the control device being constructed with a driving device; a detecting device to sense a driving condition of the driving device; first and second control devices to drive control the driving device; and a change-over device to change the drive-control of the driving device from the first control device over to the second control device in accordance with an output from the detecting device, thereby quickly bringing the driving condition of the rotating object back to its original controlled condition, even under abrupt variations in the load imposed thereon.
