Abstract
Abstract Improved ferroelectric ceramic electrooptical substrate materials are provided for use in electrooptic devices utilizing millimeter wavelengths. The ferroelectric ceramics are characterized by transition temperatures in the range of 50-90 K and are selected from the following families of compositions: (1) (Ba x Sr 1-x ) TiO 3 , and (2) (Pb y Cd 1-y ) 2 (Ta z Nb 1-z ) 2 O 7 ; where x is greater than 0 and less than 1, and y and z are numbers in the range of from 0 to 1.
