Abstract

Abstract A new class of anti-spasmodic compounds having three branch chains is provided. These compounds have the general formula: ##STR1## where R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are saturated straight chain or branched alkyl groups contained from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and are separated or linked to one another to form an aliphatic ring system. k is an integer from 0 to 5, and the total number of carbon atoms in R 1 plus R 2 plus R 3 plus k are equal to or less than 12. Furthermore, l is an integer from 1 to 3, m is an integer from 1 to 3, n is an integer from 1 to 3, and X may be nonexistent or may be O, S, NH or CH 2 or salts thereof. However, when X is nonexistent the terminal group in both the m chain and the n chain is a methyl group.
