Abstract An improved denture adhesive containing an adhesive polymeric fraction comprising an admixture of mixed, partial salts of lower alkyl vinyl ether-maleic anhydride-type copolymers with sodium carboxymethylcellulose in a vehicle comprising mineral oil thickened with polyethylene having a molecular weight of from about 1000 to 21,000.
