Abstract Oligomers of the formula ##STR1## wherein Y 1 is hydrogen or --CO--T 1 , R 1 Q 1 and T 1 are alkyl and n 1 is 1 to 16, or alkali metal salts thereof, are used as stabilizers in peroxide-containing alkaline liquors for bleaching cellulosic fibre materials.
