Abstract
Abstract A process for chip forming, cutting or abrasive treatment of metals using a fluorochlorohydrocarbon containing cooling lubricant is described. The lubricant contains esters of long chain carboxylic acids and monoalcohols having a total of 34 to 50 carbon atoms or derivatives of said esters. Also disclosed is a cooling lubricant to be used in the process and a process for the preparation of such a cooling lubricant.
