Abstract
Abstract A rubber-modified asphalt composition prepared by reacting a bituminous material with a polymerizable aromatic monomer and a rubbery polymer whereby the rubbery polymer is chemically integrated with the asphalt. The rubber-modified asphalt compositions of the invention can be used in the treatment of glass fibers as well as in road-paving applications, roofing applications and the like.
