Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 94 words
In an electrolytic cell having (a) an anolyte compartment fabricated of a material resistant to concentrated, chlorinated, alkali metal chloride brines; (b) an anode in said anolyte compartment; (c) a catholyte compartment fabricated of a material resistant to concentrated, alkali metal hydroxide solutions; (d) cathode means comprising porous particles having areas of HO 2 - disproportionation catalyst; (e) means for feeding an oxidant to said catholyte compartment; and (f) an ion permeable barrier interposed between said anode and said cathode means; the improvement wherein said HO 2 - disproportionation catalyst is LaCoO 3 .
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 94 words
