Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 63 words
A process for conditioning an organic pigment selected from the group consisting of isoindolinone, azo, metal complex, quinacridone and quinophthalone pigments with liquid ammonia which comprises: (a) treating the pigment with liquid ammonia in the absence of water or organic solvent; and (b) isolating the pigment by filtration and subsequent removal of the ammonia by evaporation or by direct evaporation of the ammonia.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 63 words
A process for conditioning an organic pigment selected from the group consisting of isoindolinone, azo, metal complex, quinacridone and quinophthalone pigments with liquid ammonia which comprises: (a) treating the pigment with liquid ammonia in the absence of water or organic solvent; and (b) isolating the pigment by filtration and subsequent removal of the ammonia by evaporation or by direct evaporation of the ammonia.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim 1, wherein the pigment is treated at elevated temperature and elevated pressure.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the liquid ammonia contains a dissolved assistant which precipitates on evaporation of the ammonia.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 78 words
A process for conditioning an organic pigment selected from the group consisting of isoindolinone, azo, metal complex, quinacridone and quinophthalone pigments with liquid ammonia which comprises: (a) treating the pigment with liquid ammonia in the absence of water or organic solvent; (b) partially evaporating the ammonia to form a pigment suspension; (c) diluting the suspension with an organic solvent or water; and (d) isolating the pigment by filtration and subsequent removal of the ammonia, organic solvent or water.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 78 words
A process for conditioning an organic pigment selected from the group consisting of isoindolinone, azo, metal complex, quinacridone and quinophthalone pigments with liquid ammonia which comprises: (a) treating the pigment with liquid ammonia in the absence of water or organic solvent; (b) partially evaporating the ammonia to form a pigment suspension; (c) diluting the suspension with an organic solvent or water; and (d) isolating the pigment by filtration and subsequent removal of the ammonia, organic solvent or water.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 4, wherein the pigment is treated with ammonia and resinic acid.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 21 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the treatment is carried out in the presence of a benzenesulphonic acid N-methylamide.
