Silver halide photographic material containing yellow coupler

Claim 1

A silver halide color photographic material containing a yellow coupler represented by following general formula (I); ##STR16## wherein A represents a yellow coupler from which one hydrogen atom bound to a carbon atom other than at a coupling active site is removed having the formula (II); ##STR17## wherein R 3 represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic ring, R 4 represents an aromatic group or a heterocyclic ring, wherein X is represented by the formulae (VI)-(IX); ##STR18## wherein X 1 and X 2 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, or a hydroxy group, X 3 , X 4 and X 5 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or an acyl group, W represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom and X 6 represents a monovalent substituent, and R 1 and R 2 each represents a straight chain or branched alkyl group containing 2 to 16 carbon atoms, with the sum of the carbon atoms contained in R 1 and R 2 being 10 to 20.
