Abstract
Abstract Photographic materials are described which comprise in a lightsensitive silver halide emulsion layer or in another waterpermeable colloid layer a non-diffusing water-insoluble photographic component containing a hydrophobic diffusion-fast making group of the formula WHEREIN X is an ether group, a thioether group, a sulphonyl group, CONH, NHCO or SO2NH and each of R1 and R2 is a branchedchain C4-C12 alkyl group. The described materials comprise the said component in the form of a finely divided dispersion which shows no crystallization tendency.
