Abstract
Abstract Mannich additives formed from a 2,4- or 2,6-ditertiary alkyl "hindered" phenol, a polyamine, a formaldehyde-yielding reagent and at least one substantially hydrocarbon compound with at least one active or acidic hydrogen selected from the group consisting of a para mono-alkyl phenol, and an oxidized olefinic polymer, are improved Mannich additives for high temperature internal combustion engine lubrication.
