Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 66 words
A method of preparing an intravenously applicable native-human immune globulin of substantially unchanged half-life and antibody activity but free from anti-complement activity, comprising heating human plasma or human serum for about 2 to 4 hours at about 50° to 56° C, and then fractionating, the heating having been long enough within the recited parameters so that the product upon fractionation is substantially free from anti-complement activity.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 66 words
A method of preparing an intravenously applicable native-human immune globulin of substantially unchanged half-life and antibody activity but free from anti-complement activity, comprising heating human plasma or human serum for about 2 to 4 hours at about 50° to 56° C, and then fractionating, the heating having been long enough within the recited parameters so that the product upon fractionation is substantially free from anti-complement activity.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
A method according to claim 1, wherein fractionation is effected with alcohol.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 13 words
A method according to claim 1, wherein fractionation is effected with ammonium sulfate.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method according to claim 1, wherein heating is effected for about 2 hours at about 56° C.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 14 words
An intravenously applicable native human immune globulin produced by the process of claim 1.
