Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 82 words
A method for the manufacture of a dimensionally-stable shaped article for use as a ceiling coffer, comprising the steps of soaking asbestos paper sheets in a bath containing a mineral acid selected from the group consisting of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, applying in a substantially pressureless manner at least one sheet of the soaked asbestos paper sheet as a layer to a mold and drying at normal room temperature, whereby to form a shrink-proof article without application of heat.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 82 words
A method for the manufacture of a dimensionally-stable shaped article for use as a ceiling coffer, comprising the steps of soaking asbestos paper sheets in a bath containing a mineral acid selected from the group consisting of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, applying in a substantially pressureless manner at least one sheet of the soaked asbestos paper sheet as a layer to a mold and drying at normal room temperature, whereby to form a shrink-proof article without application of heat.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A method according to claim 1 wherein the bath comprises phosphoric acid in a concentration of 10 to 100% by weight.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
A method according to claim 2 wherein the bath comprises 60% by weight of 85% technical grade phosphoric acid and 40% by weight of water.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method according to claim 3 wherein the asbestos sheet is of a thickness of about 1/8 inches.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 63 words
A method according to claim 1, including the additional step of applying a cement composition to the shaped article, said cement composition comprising 16.0% by weight cement mortar modifier, 0.25% by weight of non-ionic surfactant, 3.5% by weight of pigment, 56.5% by weight of silica, 18.5% by weight white Portland cement, 5.25% by weight of water and a minor amount of an aggregate.
