Abstract

Abstract Isomerizable alkylaromatic hydrocarbons are isomerized using a catalytic composite comprising a mordenite component having a SiO2/Al2O3 mole ratio of at least 40:1 prepared by acid extracting Al2O3 from mordenite prepared with an initial SiO2/Al2O3 mole ratio of about 12:1 to about 30:1 and a metal component selected from copper, silver and zirconium.
