Abstract
Abstract A process for reforming a hydrocarbon feed stock which comprises heating said charge stock in contact with a catalytic composite comprising a tin component and a platinum component on a carrier material at reforming conditions including a pressure of from about 0 to about 1000 psig and a temperature of from about 800* to about 1,100* F. The catalytic composite is characterized by a method of preparation. A high surface area porous carrier material is impregnated with a solution comprising a trichlorostannate (II)-chloroplatinate anionic complex and thereafter dried and calcined to yield the catalytic composite.
