Abstract

Abstract A catalyst composite, method of manufacture and process for utilizing the catalyst. The catalyst comprises a tin component and a platinum component on a carrier material. A high surface area porous carrier material is impregnated with a solution comprising a trichlorostannate (II) chloroplatinate anionic complex. The product is dried and calcined to yield an improved catalyst particularly useful for reforming gasoline boiling range petroleum feed stocks.
