Abstract
Abstract A calcium hypochlorite composition, containing at least about 55 percent Ca(OCl)2 and which is resistant to exothermic, selfpropagating decomposition, consists essentially of calcium hypochlorite uniformly mixed with water-soluble, hydrated inorganic salt in an amount sufficient to provide a water content in the total mixture in the range of about 3 percent to about 13 percent.
