Abstract
Abstract A method of increasing the rate of growth of livestock and poultry which comprises feeding said livestock or poultry a nutrient ration containing a small amount of 5''-nucleotide, preferably one of the 5''-monophosphates of cytidine, adenosine, quanosine or uridine or mixtures thereof. The ration can be a synthetic milk or a grain feed or forage.
