Bodily organ dilator
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable a bodily organ dilator to conform to the deformation of bodily organs, to perform and maintain stabilized dilation and to make insertion easy, by making a strain at the onset of efficacy after the insertion and that before the insertion are in superelasticity range. CONSTITUTION:A catheter 1 is inserted into a sheath 9 as an inserting treating device. A coil 8 is attached in a space covering the sheath 9 on the top end side. Strain of the coil 8 is in an superelastic range both when it is exposed forward from the sheath 9 to exert action on a dilated site of bodily organ and when it is located within the sheath 9. The alloy which constitutes the coil 8 shows superelasticity effect and has hysteresis property of recovering to original form without plastic deformation. It can exert sufficient elasticity while retained in a body and can follow satisfactorily deformation of bodily organs, whereby it can maintain the desired effect with stabilized force.
