Manufacture of electrophotographic sensitive body
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an Se-type electrophotographic sensitive body stable in halogen content and superior in reproductivity by incorporating a base metal made of Te/halogen prepared in advance in a molten Se alloy. CONSTITUTION:Five grams of the base metal of Te/Cl contg. 2,000ppm Cl prepared in advance is added to 1,000g of an Se-Te alloy contg. 10wt% Te heated at about 300 deg.C and melted in a proper inert gas. After stirring with a proper stirring means for 30min, the mixture is lowered in temp. to 280 deg.C, left in such a state for 3hr and dropped into pure water incorporated in a proper vessel and quenched so as to form grains. The granular Se/Te/Cl base metal thus prepared has less variance for the Cl content, and a halogen-contg. Se-type electrophotographic sensitive body superior in stability and reproductivity can be obtained.
