Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a characteristic equal to that of a conventional rod antenna even if the total length of the titled antenna is shorter and to prevent the wear of the surface of the conductor by printing the conductor in spiral on a rod insulator and applying an insulation material on the surface of conductor. CONSTITUTION:In a rod antenna comprising the thickest part 20, the intermediate part 21 and the thinnest part 22, each part consists of an insulator 24 made of a glass epoxy or epoxy resin and the conductor 25 printed in spiral on the insulator 24. In expanding the antenna, the conductor 25 of each part is connected together by a connection part 23. Even if the length is shorter than the conventional rod antenna, since the effective length of the antenna is longer, the reception sensitivity equal to that of the conventional antenna is obtained. Moreover, since the surface of the parts 20, 21, 22 of the conductor 25 is applied with an insulator for the insulation and the protection of surface, the short- circuit of the parts even in the telescopic state, and the wear of the surface of the conductor 25 is prevented even in the telescopic motion of the antenna.
