Helical antenna

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the gain lowering due to inaccurate pitch of a helical line and insulfficient symmetry of radiation pattern, and to reduce the weight, by winding a flexible printed circuit board which forms a prescribed width of line linearly with a specified pitch. CONSTITUTION:Conductive lines 8 with a prescribed width and interval are formed on a one-side flexible printed circuit board through etching. An overlap width with a prescribed width is marked on the printed circuit board 5 and the board is wound on a cylindrical tool 7 so that the overlap width 6 can be overlapped mutually. After bonding the overlapped width 6 with an adhesive, the cylindrical tool 7 is taken out to form a helical line 1 and a support in one body. A reflector 3 and a coaxial connector 4 are connected to one side.
